Each gite is a holiday rental equipped for a maximum of 4 persons.

When booking

  • you confirm your agreement on behalf of your group to these Terms & Conditions which form your ‘Contract’
  • you send a list of the first names and family names, and children’s ages to the owners.
    Only those persons  are permitted at the holiday rental property. No person or persons, or their vehicles, not specifically named on the booking form shall occupy the property or grounds at any time, unless prior permission, in writing, has been given by the owners. If the party using the property is found to exceed the maximum permitted or to include persons not listed on the booking form contract, the entire party will be required to vacate the property and forfeit the rent paid or pay a fee of 40 euro per night per additional guest. Pitching of tents, parking of motor-homes, or any other temporary accommodation is strictly prohibited.

All bookings are subject to these ‘Terms and Conditions’ except where prior arrangements have been made in writing by the Owners. The person making the booking is referred to as the Client. The Client is responsible for ensuring that all members of the rental Party understand these Terms and Conditions (T&Cs)

A 350.00 security deposit is payable – this will be held against any breakages, damages, loss of keys or equipment and additional cleaning. The Owner will account to the Client for the security deposit and refund the balance within two weeks of the end of the rental period; subject to any necessary deductions for damages, losses, additional cleaning or extras not separately paid for. If there are any charges in excess of the security deposit, the Client agrees to reimburse the Owners.

Each gite contains an inventory. All items are in good working order. The Client should report any missing or broken items to the Owners within 48 hours of arrival. Any items found missing or broken after the Client’s departure will be charged to the security deposit.

The balance of the rental, together with the security deposit is payable not less than eight weeks before the start of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the Owner reserves the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. The Client will remain liable to pay the balance unless the Owner is able to re-let the Property. In this event, the ‘Cancellation Charges’ of these booking conditions will apply. Reservations made within 8 weeks of the start date of the rental period, require full payment at the time of booking.

Failure to pay the rent in full by the due date will constitute a cancellation of the rental period by the client. Reminders will not be issued.

Arrival time: 17h – 19h

Departure time: before 10h

Please do not arrive earlier than 17h – the rental will not be ready and you will be asked to return at 17h.

Under no circumstances shall the Owners’ liability to the Client exceed the amount paid to the Owners for the rental period.

The Owners cannot be held responsible for changes to the Clients travel arrangements.

The Client is strongly recommended to arrange personal comprehensive travel insurance including cancellation cover, public liability, personal belongings, accidental damage, personal accident cover. The owners do not accept liability for any third-party claim, accident, damage or loss to you or your property or for any expenses incurred for any reason. In any event caused by Force Majeure, we will not be held liable in any way. It is your responsibility to ensure

  • the property is always kept secure during your stay and that all doors and windows are locked/fastened when away from the property.
  • the safety of all members of your group and supervise minors at all times.

The Client will be responsible for all damages or losses of the contents during their occupation of the property and agrees to lock all doors and shut all windows during all absences from the gite building – this includes going to the swimming pool. The Client also agrees not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to the local community.

The Owners shall not be liable to the Client for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the Property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the Property or its garden nor for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the Owners.

Any substantial damage caused by the Client or any of their party or behaviour of an unacceptable type will result in the immediate eviction of the Client’s party without compensation and will be subject to a claim for loss and damages by the Owners. In this event, the Owners will have no further contractual obligations to the Client.

Charges are inclusive of water, gas and electricity charges in high season.

Heating is included 1st Nov to 31st March. Outside of this time it is charged at 10€ per night.

A local tourist tax of 1€50 per adult per night is due advance of your arrival. No payments are accepted onsite.

An ‘end-of-stay’ cleaning charge of 70€ is applied. the rental must be left tidy, all furniture in its original place and bedding placed in the bag supplied as per the covid protocol. Off-season, if you wish to do the ‘end-of-stay’ clean yourselves the rental must be cleaned to the same standard and left in the same condition as found on arrival, please ask for the cleaning materials. If the property is left particularly dirty, untidy or with rubbish the owners reserve the right to charge an additional fee deductible from the security deposit.

Charges are inclusive of bedding and towels. Towels provided for the shower should not be taken to the pool. Due to covid, no pool towels are provided – please bring your own.

Rubbish
The Client is required to remove all rubbish from the property prior to departure. A recycling system is in place.Communal bins are sited at the end of the road and a bottle bank next to the village hall.

Septic tank
Being in the countryside, the property has a septic tank. The Client will ensure that all party members do not put anything other than small amounts of toilet paper down the toilet. The Client agrees to pay all costs related to repairing pipe blockages caused during the rental period. Clients are liable for plumbing costs if pipes are found to be blocked from 48 hours after arrival or within 48 hours of departure.

Swimming pool
An 11x5m saltwater swimming pool with roman steps and sun terrace are available to the Client and their party from the last week of May to 30th September, weather permitting. The swimming pool and terrace are shared between the two properties and the Owners. They are not available for use by anyone other than the Client and their group. The swimming pool is fitted with a security alarm and is fenced for additional security. The Client will ensure that their party do not prop open any gate to the swimming pool area.

Use of the swimming pool is entirely at the responsibility and risk of the Client. The Owners accept no responsibility for accidents or injuries occurring in connection with the pool except where directly caused by the Owners own negligence. The Client agrees to take all precautions necessary to ensure the safety of himself and other members of the party, to supervise children at all times and to avoid all dangerous activities in the vicinity of the pool. The depth of the pool ranges from 1.2m to 1.8m. No minor is permitted in the pool area without adult supervision. The swimming pool has a liner and the Client agrees to take reasonable care to avoid damage to the pool, to follow the pool care recommendations provided at the time of occupation, and to ensure that glassware or anything sharp is not used in the vicinity of the pool on the grounds of safety to all including themselves. Plastic glasses are provided for use near the pool. The Client will be liable for any damage to the pool caused by failure to adhere to this agreement or reckless or wilful action.

Conditions of use for the swimming pool are available on the pool terrace and in each gite. The pool will be closed if these conditions of use are broken.

This is a private property and visitors and their vehicles are not permitted at the property of ‘Le Mas des Cyprès’. 

Children’s play area
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times when enjoying the play area. One child at a time on the trampoline – minimum age 5 years.

Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are welcome – max. one per booking. No category 1 attack dogs or category 2 defence dogs are permitted. On booking the client will advise the owners in writing of the name, breed, sex and age of their dog. The owners undertake to clean-up after their dog in the garden, to always keep the dog under their control, to ensure the dog does not climb on the furniture or go into the pool area and to not leave the dog alone on the premises. All dogs should be treated against parasites before arrival.

Every effort has been made to ensure that descriptions of the properties are correct. The Owners cannot accept any liability for changes. The Owners cannot be held responsible for technical problems with the property, facilities or animals, insects or birds which may be present in or around the property. The Owners will do all they can to rectify technical problems reported to them. The use of the accommodation, surrounding property and amenities, (such the swimming pool, trampoline, rental bicycles, lawn games etc) is entirely at the risk of the Client/user.

The Client shall report to the Owner without delay any defects in the “Property” or breakdown in the equipment, machinery or appliances in the “Property”, garden or swimming pool, and arrangements for repair and/or replacement will be made as soon as possible.

The Client and his party leave personal belongings in or around the property entirely at their own risk and the Owners cannot be held responsible for any injuries or losses however caused. The Client is hereby notified that the presence of a swimming pool at the property presents a potential risk, especially to children.

Bookings are taken on the understanding that the property booked will be available for the dates specified. If, due to circumstances beyond the Owners’ control, this is not possible, every effort will be made to provide alternative accommodation. Failing this, the Owners will make a prompt and full refund of all monies paid and there will be no claim against the Owners. In the event of a booking being cancelled or altered by reason of force majeure, including floods, storms, riots, strikes, wars and Acts of God, or other events outside the Owners’ control, the Owner cannot accept liability. If the Client or any member of the Clients party falls ill during the rental period or has to return home early for any other reason, the Owners cannot be held responsible for any additional costs nor will any part of the rental charge be returned.

It is recommended that the Client take out a Travel Insurance to cover themselves and damage to the property.

The Owner shall not be liable to the Client

  • for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the “Property’”, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the “Property”, garden or swimming pool
  • for loss of use of the swimming pool caused by another Clients neglect or damage
  • for any noise or disruption to the peace beyond the control of the Owner
  • for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the Owner
  • for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the Client. If the “Property” shall be destroyed or sustain substantial damage before the start of the rental period by act outside of the Owners control, and in any such event, the Owner shall, within 7 days of notification to the Client, refund to the Client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period less admin fees of 100€.

The following charges will apply in the event of cancellation by the Client:

  • Up to eight weeks before the start of the rental period: Deposit paid
  • Less than eight weeks before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental cost
  • If, after cancellation, the property is re-rented, the cancellation charge less an
    administration charge of 100 euro will be refunded.

This contract shall be governed by French law and shall be deemed to have been made in France. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction in France.

COVID-19 Protocol

  • The gite will be cleaned and disinfected for your arrival.
  • The owners have no liability should you fall ill during your stay.
  • You will not come and stay if you or any of your group have any covid-19 symptoms.
  • If one of your group shows any symptoms during you stay you must:
    • Notify the owners immediately by sending a text to +33 6 80 20 41 39
    • Your group must vacate the gite within 3 hours of sending the text
  • During your stay you agree to follow the covid-19 sanitary and distancing rules including those relating to the pool
  • No payments are accepted onsite.
  • You will
    • Keep your distance from people other than your group at all times
    • Use your assigned parking area
    • Remain on the section of the pool terrace assigned to you
    • Clean all the surfaces in the gite before leaving
    • Sweep the gite floor before leaving
    • Remove all bedding and put the bedding and towels in the designated bag
    • Open all the gite windows before leaving so it will be aired before cleaning
